Cunneen Window Replacement
The Cunneen window replacement project presented us with the challenges of staying on a tight budget. Mr. and Mrs Cunneen contacted Uhlmann Home Improvement to discuss new windows on June 2009. We arrived in Blue Island, IL, 60406 a few days later. The Cunneen window replacement project’s main focus was on appearance of the home. Mr. and Mrs. Cunneen wanted to do something to enhance the appearance of their home because their bricks were faded and dull. After a thorough investigation it was concluded that vinyl replacement windows and new awnings would help complete the transformation process.
We mentioned to the Cunneen’s that the awnings and replacement windows would not only enhance the appearance, but also block out 100% of UV rays. Keeping your house warming in the winter and cooler is a must. It is an energy cost cutting measure that all homeowners can appreciate. We discussed other benefit of aluminum awnings as well. This included the ability to open up windows during storms, preventing rain water from coming in, while allowing free flowing cool air from without. The front awning was made larger than normal as it had to cover an abnormally large porch. This would effectively keep all the ice and snow away from the front stoop during the winter months, which the Cunneen’s really liked.
We successfully installed new replacement windows and a beautiful set of awnings from Rjion Inc. After replacing the two double-hungs and picture window, we covered the new vinyl replacement windows in red capping. We also installed new awning consisted of a beautiful terra cotta ivory trim. The awnings were were installed over the picture window and the entry door. The Cunneen window replacement project was completed on September 1st, 2009. The Cunneen replacement window project is just one of many projects that highlight Uhlmann Home Improvements dedication to excellence and budget controls.
